LAUZON Distinctive Hardwood Flooring inc. intensifies its growth strategy with a 5.2$ million investment

Lauzon repositions itself as the leader in the high quality hardwood flooring industry by introducing its new value proposition in 2012. The Lauzon promise is…

A beautiful, enduring flooring experience created

with authentic artistry, ingenuity and environmental integrity.

To achieve the science aspect of the promise, Lauzon is investing a total of $5.2 million to maintain its leadership position in the hardwood flooring industry. This investment will be used to upgrade the plant’s production process by installing the state-of-art scanning systems for the manufacture of high end hardwood flooring.

Through the Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) program, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Joe Oliver, announced an important partnership with Lauzon.

This ground-breaking technology, developed in Canada, will greatly increase the yield on logs harvested from its forest while maintaining our high quality standards. It will also allow us to increase by more than 50% the yield per tree harvested in the production of hardwood flooring.

Lauzon is now well poised for the future growth of the North American market. Vertically integrated, Lauzon will be ready to better service its large customer base, offering trendy, unique products while optimizing its natural resources.

Founded in 1985 by its President, David Lauzon, the company will soon celebrate 28 years of unprecedented growth. It is one of few manufacturers in North America to enjoy integrated operations from the forest harvesting stage through a primary conversion into hardwood products, hardwood flooring, staining, finishing and recycling stages. A definite Canadian leader and amongst the five major hardwood flooring manufacturers in North America, LAUZON has become a worldwide reference for its innovative flooring product, notably, for its LAUZON, ETERNA and DUBEAU brands marketed through an extensive distribution network in North America and overseas. It is also a leader in recycling of hardwood residues it converts in wood energy products. Corporate offices are in Papineauville, Province of Quebec, near Ottawa, Canada’s Capital.
